Resting on Mexico's Pacific Coast, the town of Manzanillo is a major fishing port in the state of Colima. Bearing an ancient Aztec name that means "Place in the Hands of Our Grandfather," Colima is a land of waterfalls, "tiger-eye" beaches, and clear, protected waters.
The capital, Colima City, lies about an hour inland, and is home to many museums, gardens, parks, archeological and colonial sites, and festivals throughout the year.
